GROWING CONNECTIONS
LULU Roses Shines at the 2nd Florist Encounter by Ecuador y Sus Flores at Expoflores
Last Saturday, July 19, LULU Roses and Naranjo Roses joined the vibrant second Florist Encounter organized by Ecuador y Sus Flores during Expoflores in Quito. This gathering is a beloved highlight of the year, uniting floral artists at all levels—from newcomers discovering their passion to seasoned designers honing their craft
For LULU Roses, being present at this event reflects more than a brand appearance—it’s a powerful opportunity to deepen our connection with the floral community. Engaging directly with florists lets us share our passion for preserved floral artistry, understand their creative needs, and spark meaningful relationships that ultimately elevate everyone’s craft.
One of the highlights was an interactive boutonniere-making workshop led by Giovy from Southern Blossom Flowers. Guided by her expertise, each florist created a unique boutonniere using a mini preserved rose from LULU, included in every kit we provided. This hands-on experience emphasized how our preserved roses are ideal for intricate accessories—adding elegance, longevity, and emotional value to every creation.
We also showcased the timeless beauty of Ecuadorian fresh-cut roses from Naranjo in live bouquet-making demos. The blend of fresh and preserved floral art highlighted the creative possibilities available to designers seeking to offer clients enduring and dynamic arrangements.
The workshop — which featured centerpieces, and floral installations for photo booths and events — was led by the talented Gabo de las Flores, who brought his signature style and expertise to every design.
The event also served as a platform to build a strong network within the florist community. We had the pleasure of inviting many emerging talents to “Dare to Bloom 2026” in Quito, our next major floral competition that celebrates innovation, creativity, and courage in design. The excitement and curiosity shown by attendees confirmed that LULU Roses are becoming a source of artistic inspiration.
